The museum “Le Foreste della Sila” is centred on the evolution and the structure of Silan forestry formations, by stressing some of the links which regulate the work of these sensitive eco-systems.

In fact, not only we have to consider the dynamic nature of every plant formation, influenced by climatic, geological and genetic factors, but we need to consider the existing complex relationships among the vegetable kingdom and other living beings – from bacteria to vertebrates – in order to understand their value and vulnerability.
